BOOM! I’ve written with Akkerman Pulchri Pink, but haven’t gotten to the review. Will do soon! BOOM!
Boom! In your face with PW Akkerman Mauritshuis Magenta.
I’ve not reviewed this one yet, but that color is really pulling me in!
It’s been awhile, but I’ve written with this ink quite a bit and love it. In fact, I featured it in a This or That last year.
Hofvijver Grijs is a nice middle-of-the-road gray (unless you prefer that it be grey) ink from PW Akkerman.
If you’ve been searching for a US source for Akkerman inks and their iconic bottles, check out Vanness Pen Shop. I’ve only ordered from here once, but had a good experience.
PW Akkerman Shocking Blue #5 is a terrific ink. I reviewed it in great detail along with some other blue inks here and here.
Akkerman inks can be a bit of pain to find. I would suggest Diamine Majestic Blue as a suitable alternative.
Akkerman #9 – Laan Van Nieuw Oost – Indigo
This ink isn’t for me. The color is too muted and too much of a non-color. It leans toward gray with a bit of green. I also am bothered that his ink is called “Indigo” when that color is usually a dark inky blue.
Tell me what you think?
PW Akkerman #19 – Rood Haags Pluche
And then there’s this beautiful mess. I’d totally do it.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
With all of the pink and red out there today, I thought I’d do something a bit different and show off a beautiful purple ink that I love – PW Akkerman’s Simplisties Violet. This is an ink that I’ve reviewed in the past and absolutely loved. The fact that the ink comes in the best bottle ever is just a bonus.
Akkerman #6 Binnenhof Blues
I’ve not tried this ink yet. It’s a lovely bright blue, though. Do you have experience with it?
China Town Red is a terrific ink. The color is bright and shiny. It writes well with no difficulties in any of the pens I’ve used with it.
I’ll need to do a full review on this ink – kind of surprised I never have.
