INK REVIEW: Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun

Oh. Goodness.

Gracious. Me.

Oh. My.

Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun Swabs (3, 2, 1)

Have mercy.

Fuyu-syogun Shading
Not too light.
Not too dark.
Nothing but gray. No icky red or green undertones.
Gorgeous shading.
Decent dry time.
Writes beautifully.
I’m in love.  In love. Head over heels.
If this ink isn’t in your collection, it certainly should be. Certainly.
Have a look at my other grey/gray ink reviews and then run out and get this one.
Seriously, I have nothing negative to say about this ink.

  1. Hi Majokie – I know that color from Zoya – love it! I really really don't think you'd be disappointed with Fuyu-syogun – it's a gorgeous neutral gray (grey?) – maybe a little bit of blue. In fact – if you don't already have some, I'd be glad to send you a small sample. You can contact me at christine (at) christinewitt (dot) com

  2. Somehow I missed this one, so I'm glad you linked it again. Fuyu-syogun is one of my all-time favourite inks (and the second Iroshizuku bottle I bought) – it's the perfect cool grey. It behaves beautifully, and even has shading in an EF Lamy nib (not sure it would in a Japanese EF, though)! And now that it's past the height of summer, I think I need to pull it out and start using it again 😀
